Call me Gabriel.
Actually, my name is Gabriele, (Gab-re-el-eh), but in the United States I’ve shortened it to Gabriel to help my friends and neighbors pronounce and spell it more easily.
I have a son who is a spunky kid. He loves to play soccer which is great, because I love to watch him play. I played myself, until I hurt my knee ten years ago. I spend a lot of my weekends cheering for him on the sidelines of his games. My daughter is 10 years younger than him and a joy for us.
My wife is a teacher. She teaches Italian to high school and college—she’s very good at it.
I love to take photos. I love my Canon Rebel Xi and I can’t help but lug it with me on trips. Especially when I get to visit exotic places for work. Of course, it also comes with me on weekend road trips with my family.
You’ll probably see a lot of photos on this blog. Mostly, they’ll probably be of my work or family. But sometimes you might see some food too. I’m Italian, so maybe this is redundant, but I love food and cooking. We cook and eat dinner at home in my house at least 5 nights a week. But I never use cookbooks. (Ok, I sometimes use cookbooks.) I’ll post some of my favorite family recipes on the blog. Someday…
This whole blogging thing takes a lot of work to get started!!
